Surrender Checklist:

Fill out the form below to get on our waiting list.
  • Send us the veterinarian records for your pet to info@scruffytails.org.
  • We will review your surrender form, once it is received.
  • We will contact you to set up a surrender appointment. 
  • At your appointment, you can expect to fill out paperwork, while a staff member evaluates your pet.

    Things to Note:

  • We cannot guarantee that we will take your pet. 
  • The surrender list is NOT on a first come first serve basis. We aim to help as many pets as we can, and some pets may need more immediate assistance.
  • The time limit on the waiting list varies based on how many adoptions we get, how many strays come in, etc.

We know how hard surrendering a beloved pet may be. The more information that you provide in this form the easier it is for us to help you, and your pet. 

Before surrendering your pet, please make sure that this is something you truly want to do! We ask that you think of the reason, and if it is a good enough reason to actually surrender a pet to us. We understand that there are times when it is unexpected circumstances. In those times We want to help as much as possible!
